The project was successfully completed with partnership between EiABC(ECL-AA),JULICH, Hawassa University, Wondo Genet college of Forestry and natural resources, German Federal Ministry of education and research.
-Opening speech by Dr. kumilachew Yeshitela Research, technology transfer and community service head. Followed by introduction from Aziza Abdulfetah, ECL associate staff.
-Dr. Katherine Prost presentation the use proper utilization and impact of the toilet project on the environmtent.
-ECL-AA will like to thank members of the community who participated and contributed to our success.

ECL-AA and LSE-Cities Research and Policy draft presentation

ECL-AA research staff led by Tesfaye Hailu, in collaboration with LSE Citiesresearch fellow Assistant professor Nuno F. Da Cruz presented two policy brief findings at Harmony Hotel Addis Ababa on 24th of October, 2019.
The Policy briefing presented finding on-
1. How to connect cities and transport infrastructure 
2. Infrastructure interfaces on the post networked city, Addis Ababa. 
-Stakeholders from the government including Infrastructure integration and building permit Agency, Addis Ababa water and Sewerage Agency(AAWSA), Ministry of Urban development and Construction, Ethiopian institute of Architecture, building construction and city development EiABC- chair of infrastructure and World bank representatives.

African Urbanity Workshop, ECL-AA in collaboration with ABK Stuttgart

 ECL-AA has successfully hosted the DAAD-funded Fall School “African Urbanity” abk Stuttgart, which took place from September 30 to October 10. Ethiopian and German student groups have worked on developing strategies and recommendations to explore and understand “African Urbanity” better. Here are some pictures form the final day of presentation at ECL - AA Emerging City Lab office at EiABC on the 10th of August. Congratulations to All.

Governance of key infrastructure interfaces, Research Presentation. ECL-AA and LSE Cities 

October 16, 2019 LSE Cities Assistant Professorial Research Fellow Nuno F. da Cruz gave a lecture to Master's and PhD students at Ethiopian institute of Architecture Building construction and city development (EiABC) on how governance impacts key #infrastructure projects. Opening day pictures from opening of the Exhibition which took place at Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction and City Development (EiABC) along with guests from the Bauhaus-University Weimar. The exhibition was organized to mark the centenary of the Bauhaus and the 65th anniversary of EiABC. ECL-AA team would like to

Ethiopian Ambassador extraordinary plenipotentiary to the Federal Republic of Germany, Mulu Solomon who was former teaching staff of EiABC along with Prof. Dr. Winfried Speitkamp, President of Bauhaus-University Weimar opened an exhibition titled ‘Selam Bauhaus’ on Friday 5/07/2019 in the city of Weimar. Distinguished guests including Prof. Hailu Worku, Dr. Ephrem G/Mariam and Dr. Zegeye Cherenet from the Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction and City Development (EiABC) and guests from the Bauhaus-University Weimar have attended the event. The exhibition was organized to mark the centenary of the Bauhaus and the 65th anniversary of EiABC. Fifteen students from EiABC are taking part in the Exhibition alongside their German exchange partners which will last for from July 5-14. ECL-AA and Bauhaus University team would like to thank all who contributed for the success the program.
